1. Being in Silence
Talking is an active Yang activity and although women are great communicators we sometimes wear ouselves out by talking too much. It can bring relief and be a pleasant experience to designate a time during the day when we remain in silence and do not answer phone calls or communicate verbally. A weekend spent on our own in silence can greatly benefit our connection with the divine feminine essence.
2. Resting
It is not a sign of weakness to be tired. It is often our body telling us that we have been neglecting our feminine side. So let's have a good night's sleep, fit in a nap, and don't set the alarm on the weekend.
3. Being in Nature
The Divine Feminine is at home in nature and any time spent outdoors near trees and in the grounds of either a park or the countryside helps us to refuel our feminine energy. Taking off our shoes and walking barefoot will nurture our connection with the earth and additionally help us to ground ourself.
4. Enjoying Sensuality/Sacred Intimacy
Our vitality and radiance as women is directly proportional to the amount of fulfilling intimacy we enjoy and the nature of our connection to sensuality. Healing our sexuality and clearing blockages in this area is therefore one of our priorities. Sensuality forms a vital part of our feminine essence and gifts.
5. Enjoying Creativity
Sometimes we say: "I am not creative". Our intrinsic nature is creative. Being creative is not the same as being artistic. The characteristics of creativity involve thinking or behaving imaginatively and with a purpose, generating something original and of value in relation to our objective. We are creative whenever we find a new solution to a problem, plan a romantic time with our partner or organize our kid's birthday parties. Let's dream more often about our goals and allow our imagination to flow freely outside of logical reasoning. It will help to balance our left brain oriented life-styles and open us more to our intuition.
6. Gathering with feminine girlfriends
Being in the company of other feminine energy is a great way to nurture our own. I always feel energised after an evening of giggles and flowing exchange. Meet up for chats, meals, entertainment, walks, window shopping or any activity where you can be flexible and spontaneous. Avoid rigid schedules, allow plenty of time and keep things as open as possible.
7. Feminine Dancing (Bellydancing, Sacred Dancing etc.)
Dancing in feminine ways really brings us into our body and sensual side. It energises us, can heal blockages and is a healthy form of physical exercise for women. If we take a dance class it also allows us to be in the presence of other feminine energy and enjoy eachothers company.
8. Music/Singing/Chanting/Freeing our voice
Listening to beautiful music can open your right brain and evoque feelings of happiness and contentment. By singing along to our favorite tune, chanting a sacred mantra or attending a class to free our voice we are using our bodies to raise our own vibration and energise ourself.
9. Meditation/Mindfulness/Opening to intuition and inner wisdom
Meditation is commonly misunderstood as yet another task or necessary routine to fit into our day. Creating a regular habit of sitting down to meditate is only one way and can benefit some of us, while others choose to be in a "meditative" state throughout the day by being more aware, stilling their minds, focusing on what they are doing right in the moment or listening to their inner wisdom.
10. Receiving a Massage
A professional massage can benefit you in many ways as a women. Your are in the receiving mode which nurtures your femine side. It is relaxing and a physically pleasant experience which can be sensual without being sexual. It stimulates energy flow in your body and can energise you. It is also an opportunity to let your thoughts wander, catch up with rest or still your mind. At times a massage will also help to release emotional blockages, in which case you might feel tearful afterwards. This is a healthy clearing out and you will feel much better afterwards. My favorites are Ayurvedic massages and hot stone massages. Treat yourself!
