The Mind's Eye is a story about two normal people who fall in love over the Internet.

Hedda owns a web-company and works from home. She's intelligent but was raised to believe men only think about sex, a myth passed down within the female line from generation to generation. Apart from meeting her two best friends now and then, she spends most of the time alone. In desperation, she places an ad on the Internet.

It puts her in contact with Michael G. Henderson, an Englishman who works as a teacher in a small village. He's intelligent but was raised to believe women are supposed to serve the men, a myth passed down within the male line from generation to generation. Apart from teaching children and walking the dog, he spends most of his time depressed and lonely.

Their story is an effort to show the world how easy it is to fall in love with someone we've never met, how easy it is to write what we think the reader wants to read in an effort to make ourselves more interesting.
